This is an excerpt from a longer speech asking us to consider how different the world could be if a more diverse pool of people had input into its design. He is saying, if more women, more people of color, more people with disabilities, etc. So have a voice and are able to share their perspective, design change for the better. The bathroom example is a good one. Because the architecture and engineering fields are still dominated by men. And this is not to say that men were trying to oppress women with poor bathroom design. The example was to highlight how even well-meaning people miss the mark.

Easy, dad played with the child just to find a way to abandon him, just like a Horror scary characters Christmas tree sweater.
